Let’s reiterate that:

If all goes according to plan, the LHC could recreate the Big Bang….

?!?!?!

The thing that makes me uneasy about this whole situation (other than the whole end-of-the universe scenario) is that all these scientists named their machine the “Large Hadron Collider” which is dangerously close to the “Large Hardon Collider” which, to my knowledge, is a different apparatus altogether.
